Raw is open!
Raw is an intermediate, hand-built trail with a couple sections of granite slab and several optional expert features. It is a great trail for riders of varying abilities, from intermediate riders hoping to maximize fun to expert riders looking to go fast and get sendy. The trail follows a beautiful natural shoulder with deciduous and coniferous forest and ends at the top of lower Tornado.
Rock Armoring Sendero and Kandagnar
As of August 7th, IdeRide, a Vermont-based trail builder, spent three days rock armoring the most eroded sections of Sendero, turning ragged tread into little works of art that improve the riding experience and will last for years. Next week, IdeRide will continue to work on Sendero before addressing similar issues on Upper Kandagnar.
Lower Charlie’s Maintenance
In May, Tulip Trails, a professional mountain bike trail builder, improved the berms and drainages on lower Charlie’s. Tulip Trails generously donated a week of machine-powered trail work, and Ride NoCo funded another two days. Volunteers hand-finished the berms and it’s riding smooth and fast!
